Fasting Science - Part I

What is fasting?

Fasting is a period of abstinence from all food or specific items. Fluids are consumed in sufficient quantity to satisfy thirst and physiologic requirements. During the absence of food, the body will systematically cleanse itself of everything except vital tissue. Starvation will occur only when the body is forced to use vital tissue to survive. Although protein is being used by the body during the fast, a person fasting even 40 days on water will not suffer a deficiency of protein, vitamins, minerals or fatty acids. In the breakdown of unhealthy cells, all essential substances are used and conserved in a most extraordinary manner. There is an unwarranted fear of fasting that strength diminishes from the catabolism of proteins from muscle fibers. Even during long fasts, the number of muscle fibers remains the same. Although the healthy cells may be reduced in size and strength for a time, they remain perfectly sound.

A. J. Carlson, Professor of Physiology, University of Chicago, states that a healthy, well-nourished man can live from 50 to 75 days without food, provided he is not exposed to harsh elements or emotional stress. Human fat is valued at 3,500 calories per pound. Each extra pound of fat will supply enough calories for one day of hard physical labor. Ten pounds of fat are equal to 35,000 calories! Most of us have sufficient reserves, capable of sustaining us for many weeks.

Rest is understood to be a big factor in enhancing recovery, as it is when the body is at rest that it is able to direct the most energy towards the various chemical and mechanical processes of detoxification. When fasting, a person experiences recovery at a rate that is swifter than normal. He is ridding his body of toxins and excesses; allowing the body to use its own wisdom to healthfully reorganize itself from the atomic level. As the toxic load is reduced, the functioning of every cell is enhanced. In the same way that vital nerve energy is accumulated during a night's sleep, the faster builds nerve energy through rest, sleep, and detoxification.

The human body has many ordinary modes of achieving elimination: the liver, lungs, kidneys, colon, etc. When these are overloaded, the body will resort to "extra ordinary" methods of elimination: boils, mucous and other discharges, sweats, vomiting, diarrhea, and many others. Should elimination be impossible or uneconomical of body energy, the toxic overload will go into storage forms in the joints, vessels, muscles, organs; almost any tissue in the body. While fasting, the body is highly conservative of its energy and resources. During this deep and profound rest, toxin intake and production are reduced to a minimum while autolysins and elimination proceed unchecked. Anabolic processes such as tissue and bone healing also proceed at a maximal rate during the fast.

In the body, the first stage of cleansing removes large quantities of waste matter and digestive residues. The first few days of a fast can be rough due to the quantity of waste passing into the blood stream. The tongue becomes coated and the breath foul as the body excretes waste through every opening. After the third day of the fast, there is little desire for food. The second stage is the cleansing of mucous, fat, diseased and dying cells, and the more easily removed toxins. As the fast continues, the cleansing process becomes more thorough. The last stage is the cleansing of toxins that have been accumulating in your cellular tissue from birth, and the microscopic tubes that carry vital elements to the brain. Cleansing of the last layer is only possible through a combination of juice fasting, water fasting, and a healthy diet high in raw foods. To overcome a severe disease like cancer, it is important to continue through a series of fasts, to the point where the full scouring action of catabolism removes the disease from the tissue.

During extended fasts the body removes: dead, dying and diseased cells; unwanted fatty tissue, trans-fatty acids, hardened coating of mucus on the intestinal wall; toxic waste matter in the lymphatic system and bloodstream; toxins in the spleen, liver and kidney; mucus from the lungs and sinuses, imbedded toxins in the cellular fibers and deeper organ tissues; deposits in the microscopic tubes responsible for nourishing brain cells and excess cholesterol.

Nearly everyone who fasts, discovers the same thing, that when they fast they actually have no hunger and more energy than they normally have. It is indeed liberating to find out that if we let go and trust that we will be taken care of. Fasting is the simplest, easiest and most effective way to find out that we do indeed have the power and freedom to heal and take control of our bodies.

Why Fast?
Probably the most important reason is that the body uses quite a bit of energy to digest food, and when fasting this energy becomes available for other uses. In the fasting state, the body will scour for dead cells, damaged tissues, fatty deposits, tumors, abscesses, all of which are burned for fuel or expelled as waste. The elimination of these obstructions restores the immune system functionality and metabolic process to an optimum state. Fasting restores good digestion and elimination, and peristaltic action is quickened. Fasting allows a deep, physiological rest of the digestive organs, and the energy saved goes into self-healing and self-repairing. By eliminating obstructions, by cleansing, detoxification, and purifying the intestines, the blood, and the cells, we can overcome many of our physical ills or handicaps as well as getting a boost in energy. Fasting not only removes obstructions and helps the body to heal itself, it is also rejuvenating and life-extending. These resulting benefits can have lasting affects in your mental and emotional health.

The other very important aspect is that your self-awareness will be elevated. If you are sick and depressed, then this might be the most important thing you can try in your healing program, because it gives you immediately an energy boost and increased awareness which might allow that you see things more clearly, allowing you the first step out of your sickness and onto the path of recovery. While fasting you become more aware of your body process, your life and with everything you are doing. It becomes a period where you can evaluate all that you're doing more objectively, and you naturally have more time for contemplation because you aren't using time amassing, preparing, eating, eliminating and cleaning up all which is used to prepare food. You become more aware of what your body likes and doesn't like when you start to eat again. You gain self-confidence in your ability to control your life process, to set a goal and carry out an intention.

Fasting enhances mental acuity
Perhaps the most instructive testimony as to the acuteness of mental powers during fasting comes from Dr. Herbert Shelton who supervised the fasting of more than 40,000 people over a period of fifty years. His message is that the freer the body is of toxic materials flowing through the blood and lymphatic system, the clearer is the ability to think.

These facts are due to physiological causes. Large amounts of blood and nervous energies have to be sent to the digestive organs to digest a meal. If these energies are not required there, they may be used by the brain for better thinking. This increase in mental acuity doesn’t usually happen until after the first few days of a fast, because the body is busy cleaning out excess toxins and substances and so the first few days can be a period of depression, with headaches and various pains as this process is underway. This makes the first stage of fasting difficult but after the body has thrown off it’s load of toxins, then the brain is fed by a cleaner bloodstream and the mental powers and clarity of thought are extraordinarily increased and the other senses also become more acute.

One’s mind becomes clearer and one’s ability to think and solve intricate problems is enhanced. One is simply more alert, and one’s mind seems to open up into new fields. The mental and physical senses are heightened, and often there can be a feeling of euphoria, especially during longer fasts. Some, for the first time, will experience emotional stability. The reasons for this are multifold - the elimination of the emotional dependence on food, exclusion of stimulating foods like caffeine, processed sugars, recreational drugs, tobacco and trans-fatty acids, all of which can have a devastating effect on delicate emotions.

Dr. Ehret stated an amazing fact at the turn of the 20th century. He said that, for a water fast to awaken the higher mind functions, it had to be longer than 21 days. Fasting has a history of awakening intuitive senses, creativity, and deeper spiritual questions in those with enough determination to get past the 21 day mark.

Healing
During a fast, a metamorphosis occurs. The body undergoes a tearing down and rebuilding of damaged materials. For this reason, fasting is famous for its ability to rejuvenate and give the body a more youthful tone. Why does fasting have such a powerful effect in healing the body? Fasting dissolves diseased cells in a systematic manner, leaving healthy tissue. The result is a thorough cleansing of the tube, membrane and cellular structures. There is a remarkable redistribution of nutrients in the fasting body. It hangs on to precious minerals and vitamins while catabolizing on old tissue, toxins and inferior materials.

Each cell of your body is a complete living entity with its own metabolism. It needs a constant supply of oxygen and sufficient nourishment. When due to nutritional deficiencies, sluggish metabolism, sedentary life, overeating and consequent poor digestion and assimilation of food, lack of fresh air and sufficient exercise and rest, our cells are deprived... they start to degenerate... the normal process of cell replacement and rebuilding slows down and your body starts to grow old, its resistance to disease will diminish and you become ‘sick’.

Animals will naturally fast when they are sick or injured, and when we are ill, our hunger diminishes. If we get out of the way and allow nature to take its course, we will find that we can heal from any problem. Since the dawn of recorded time, in fact since before the word "doctor" came into existence, priests provided sanctuaries where people could go to fast. Whereas modern medical practitioners admit that they have no cures, only drugs that mask the symptoms while causing yet other symptoms to appear.

“I had a medical practice for 20 years in NYC, supervised hundreds of long fasts, and I found that the physical healing or weight loss was but a pleasant side effect. What really happened is that the person got in touch with their higher self, their true self, and came to the experience that healing can take place at every level, simply by letting go and allowing Mother Nature to do her work.” – Dr. Rai Casey

Fasting has been beneficial for these conditions:
Although fasting is not recommended in every situation, (cancer of the liver is one instance where fasting is contraindicated), in many situations fasting is the only known solution. Fasting has been beneficial for arthritis, asthma, high blood pressure, lupus, chronic fatigue, colitis, Crohn's disease, diverticulitis, spastic colon, irritable bowel, cases of paralysis, neuritis, neuralgia, neuroses, and mental illness as well as many others. Fasting will also break down tumors and for this reason, many have overcome cancer with fasting.

Fasting decreases dependency on authorities
How many of us believe that when we get sick, that a doctor is going to save us from pain and death? We just assume that the technology is going to be able to repair us when we break down, by giving us a pill, a treatment or a surgery. We are so alienated from our bodies that we think that a doctor knows more about us than we do. The reality is that doctor’s don’t have the cures that we need, what is offered by the traditional system of healers is only the possibility to treat our symptoms never being able to cure us or root out the cause. When we take these kinds of treatments to suppress our symptoms then that cause, which is the underlying reason we are sick, goes unattended, then in fact our illness continues to grow. We will never be healthy until we take responsibility for our own health . We need to stop blaming the outside for making us sick, whether it is corporations, a person, our immediate environment or a government, and to recognize instead that our sickness is a symptom telling us something is inside needs to be addressed. For sure there are outside influences that we can’t control, but there is much that we can control by taking responsibility for ourselves and working to change our habits.

New Year Sadhana - HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hearing these words of greetings one is filled with a feeling of newness and life seems standing at another milestone, ready to fly off to a new start. The word “new” denotes change, something novel, something different and with it life braces itself for a transformation.

On the first day of the New Year everyone wishes for a good start, a good beginning so that whole year passes inconstant progress and success.

This day is one of deep contemplation. Looking back one sees the previous year filled with its sad and happy, sweet and sour memories and turning one’s eyes to the year lying ahead one beholds a fresh clean land in the horizon ready to be sown with the seeds of success.

Every person waits for 12 long months for this golden day to dawn, and the morning on which one hears the air ringing with the sweet greeting of Happy New Year, one knows that the day is here at last. Then one is filled with joy and enthusiasm to make a new start in life, to make new resolutions and embark on new start in life new projects.

Life is undoubtedly a path full of challenges, and one who faces these challenges fearlessly comes out on the top as the winner. No one is born with a winner’s streak in him. This spirit has to be developed through hard work and dedication. A mother is responsible for a child’s growth for it is she who introduces him to good or bad habits. Similarly we ourselves are responsible for the states we are in.

If we develop bad habits we are sure to suffer and life then seems miserable. But if a person is hard working, sincere and true to himself he is sure to progress in life.

The New year presents a unique opportunity to instill a novelty, a change into one’s life. The first day of New Year is in fact very auspicious and it matters a lot how you spend if. You may go to a bar or a club and spend the New Year eve dancing, drinking and merry-making. But such escapades are not at all a source of true joy, for true joy is generated from within, for true joy is attained by tasting success in life.

In fact spending these auspicious moments thus is wasting a golden opportunity to transform your life.

The early hours of New Year day presents such sacred, auspicious moments when you can develop the power to concentrate your will, which shall then help you throughout the year to face all adversities fearlessly. And the best way to develop such power is to accomplish some Sadhana.

“Nav Varsh Unnati Prayog” is one such Sadhana practice through which you can instill totality into your life. By devoting only an hour or so in the early morning of the New Year day, you can instill all the 365 days of the year with joy, enthusiasm and uniqueness, thus assuring success in all spheres of life. If you can’t do it on New Year day, you can try it on any day of Jan 2009.

Thus one can not only rise in material life but also attain spiritual accomplishments.

The special feature of this Sadhana practice is that it can be accomplished on New Year day of any calendar i.e. Christian, Vikram, Shaka or any other era. In fact for a person his birthday is also the start of a new year of his life. Hence this Sadhana can be accomplished even on one’s birthday.

The ancient sages used to spend the early hours of the New Year day, according to their date systems, engrossed in special Sadhanas to generate divine powers and concentrate them. These powers then they used throughout the year to accomplish other Sadhanas with zeal and enthusiasm. The time when the first rays of the sun appear on the horizon is said to be the best for this Sadhana.

SADHANA PROCEDURE

It’s better to perform this Sadhana with the whole family for the good of all the members in the year ahead. Get up before the sun rise and take a bath. Wear fresh yellow clothes. The following articles should be kept ready beforehand – A copper tumbler filled with water, unbroken rice grains, vermillion, coconut, incense, a lamp, ghee, fruit, flowers, sweet and itra (natural perfume.)

Be seated with a peaceful mind on a worship-mat and before yourself place the picture of the Guru and a Treilokya Varsheshwar Yantra. Light incense sticks and the lamp filled with pure ghee. Put a mark of vermilion on both and offer flower, fruit and sweets. Place the coconut on a tumbler filled with water. Meditate upon the form of the Guru and then chant 5 rounds of the following Mantra with a Rock Crystal rosary (Sfatik).

OM HREEM AYEIM SHREEM PURNNA NAV VARSHA DHAN DHAANYA SAMRIDDHI PURNNATVA DEHI DEHI NAMAH.

After the completion of the chanting offer the Yantra and rosary in the feet of some God in a temple or disperse them in a river.

Through this Sadhana the whole year shall be spent filled with joy and success. You shall acquire all attainments of a happy life like good health, wealth, prosperity and good fortune.

May this year prove to be a turning phase of your life and achieve joy, good luck and constant progress। Once again wishing you a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Fasting Science - Part II

Benefits of Fasting

  • Mental clarity is improved and brain fog is lifted.
  • Rapid, safe weight loss is achieved without flabbiness.
  • The nervous system is balanced.
  • Energy level and sensory perception is increased. The longer the fast, the bigger increase in energy and vitality. You normally need less sleep.
  • Organs are revitalized. Cellular biochemistry is harmonized.
  • The skin becomes silky, soft, and sensitive.
  • There is greater ease of movement.
  • Breathing becomes fuller, freer and deeper.
  • The digestive system is rejuvenated and becomes more effective; the peristaltic action of the intestines (the cause of a natural bowel movement) is stronger after fasting.
Fasting retrains your tasting sense back to more healthy food as acute sensitivity is restored.
  • Fasting can increase confidence in our ability to have control over our lives and our appetite, and that our body is self-regulating and a self-healing organism capable or establishing balance when given the possibility to do so.
  • Normal metabolic and cell oxygenation are restored.
  • Detoxification - as soon as the body realizes that it's fasting it will begin to eliminate those things that cause disease, such as fat cells, arterial cholesterol plaques, mucus, tumors, stored up worries and emotions.
One Day Fast
One way to start is to fast one day, working towards fasting regularly, one day per week or for longer periods of time. You can fast from all food, or only from solid food. You can choose a one day fast with only:
  • water
  • fresh fruit juice
  • fresh vegetable juice
  • raw fruit
  • raw vegetables
  • Avoiding during the fast:
Avoiding during the fast:
cooked vegetables, cooked whole grains, whole grain flour products, bread, pasta, etc. vegetable protein, soy products, etc. dairy: milk, cheese, yogurt, ice cream, butter, eggs, meats, fast food, junk food, prepared foods, etc., chemicals: sugar, caffeine, artificial flavoring, sweeteners, etc. Not to consume any drugs, nicotine and alcohol during fast should be clear.

Water Fast
You can fast from 1 to 40 days. Try to drink 2 liters of water or more per day.The ten day water fast has become a recommended number of days. Ten days on water will cause the same weight loss as 30 days on juice. But water fasting is far more difficult, especially if you have a fast metabolism. Water fasting cleanses the body aggressively removing toxins rapidly. Water fasting can be more beneficial than juice fasting in combating more persistent forms of cancer, cleansing the tissues more aggressively. Water fasting demands mental preparation, the less pressure and responsibility you have during a water fast the better. Think of it a holiday away form the normal patterns of living. Some recommend that the week before your fast, you drink fresh juices and eat mostly raw fruits and vegetables to cleanse the body so that the detoxification during water fasting will be less aggressive. Water fasting should always include two of three days of juice fasting before and after the water fast. This alternating between juice and water fasting is the most effective method of achieving a full cleansing through fasting.

Water Fasting Tips
Avoid water straight from the faucet. Distilled water is the best for cleansing because of its inherent, magnetic properties and ability to absorb and suspend large quantities of toxins, flushing them from the body. The perceived value of mineral water is misleading because the inorganic minerals are like huge boulders to the cellular membranes, making them impossible to assimilate. Plants are able to break down the minerals from the soils, allowing them to be completely absorbable to the cells of the body. The best water is distilled, secondly, spring or filtered.

There are no calories or nutritional value in water. On a water fast you have given your body no options but to turn to itself for fuel. This can create a problem when you have spent years depositing counterfeit fuel. Living exclusively on dirty fuel during a fast takes tremendous courage & strength. To ease into water fasting some recommend juice fasting with periods of water fasting. For example 3 days on juice, 2 days on water, 5 days on juice, then 3 days on water. You can juice when you have to work and water fast on the weekend when you can rest.

Water Fasting Concerns
It is not advisable to water fast under the conditions of hyperglycemia, hypoglycemia, schizophrenia or a chronic heart condition. If you have existing conditions it is best if you consult with a fasting expert and/or be monitored throughout your fast.

Be careful of dizziness and black outs. The heart is resting as much as it can during water fasting. Before you stand up, take one or two deep breaths to get the heart pumping. If you start to black out, sit down or crouch down on one knee. This will immediately stop the dizziness.

Master Cleanse Fast
The Master Cleanse or Lemon Cleanse is between a water fast and a juice fast. Basically it consists of drinking a mixture of freshly squeezed lemons, water and maple syrup for a period of 8 to 40 days. It is easier to do than a water fast because you are still getting nutrients and energy from the lemons and the maple syrup. This fast can be done while still maintaining your normal work, yet is less calories than what you would get from a juice fast. It is normal to lose weight on this fast and it is excellent for cleansing the colon.

Juice Fast
Juice fasting is safe and can allow the body to clean itself of toxins while greatly improving conditions for health. A benefit is that your energy level is high because you are receiving sufficient nutrients from the juices, so you can carry out normal activities. A juice fast takes some burden off the digestive system and frees up some energy for accelerated healing though a water fast does much better in that regard. Also, juices can make available extra quantities of nutrients that a person might lack. Juices are easy to assimilate and take hardly any digestive energy from the body, allowing the body to put more energy into healing and rejuvenation. Packed with vitamins, minerals, living enzymes, antioxidants, phytochemicals, yet low enough in calories to force the body to cannibalize on its filthy waste, propelling you to vigorous physical health and clarity of mind.

For your first fast and for the purpose of healing disease most experts recommend a juice fast over a water fast. Fasting on water has become a near impossible exercise for a body that has been nurtured on poisons. The juice of fruits and vegetables are filled with healing and cleansing properties that allow the body to gently and safely detoxify. Juice fasting has become an effective stepping-stone to water fasting. Through juice fasting, thousands of individuals have been freed from serious diseases such as cancer, leukemia, arthritis, high blood pressure, kidney disorders, skin infections, liver disorders, alcoholism and smoking.

The thirty-day juice fast is a standard. This length of fast feels about right because after 30 days it seems like you have been fasting forever. Less then 30 days and you can miss the best experiences of the fast. If you are juice fasting, a few days on water occasionally will intensify the fast and assist with weight-loss if you have a slow metabolism.

Most people can juice fast safely for up to 30 days. The exceptions are those with hypoglycemia, diabetes, hypo thyroid, and Wilson's Syndrome. For these conditions, eat slices of avocado and banana every few hours, add high quality vegetable source protein powder to your juices, and add psyllium or another good bulking agent to your juices twice a day to regulate blood sugar levels. Do not juice fast if you have impaired kidney function.

The amount of juice you drink will determine the intensity of cleansing. Drinking small amounts of juice supplies fewer calories, thereby increasing detoxification. The more intense the cleansing, the greater the discomfort. Juice fasting allows you to have control over the process of elimination. However, when the body enters a cleansing crisis due to toxins in the blood, no amount of juice will eliminate the discomfort. You must wait it out.

Drink all-vegetable or all-fruit juices, never combine fruits & vegetables to create juice. Make your juice from fresh vegetables or fruits. You can also include herbal teas with honey, vegetable broth, Barley Green, wheat grass juice and supplements helpful for your specific condition. Drink juice whenever hunger develops until pleasantly full as opposed to stuffed full. It is best if you filter or strain the juices, removing any excess fiber or pulp so that you continue to give the digestive system a rest. Also if it looks like you are not losing weight on your fast, you can dilute the juices with water.

You may consider modifying the fast by including quarter slices of avocado or banana to slow the cleansing process. Modified juice fasting is good for those with health restrictions such as diabetes or hypoglycemia. Bananas and avocados are slow to digest and maintain a stable blood sugar level. Their high calorie content slows the intensity of the fast and, because they are easy to digest, the body still devotes energy to cleansing.

Preparation for Your Fast
Inform yourself about fasting: by doing your own investigation, reading all you can about the fasting process, the various kinds of fasts and what you can expect as side affects. If you have a pre-existing health condition then you should find out if there are contrary indications with fasting and your condition.

Determine your cleanse duration and time period: Try to arrange that your fast is in a time period where you have low activity or lobsters. Avoid heavy kinds of work if at all possible. When it comes to long fasts and inability of somebody to handle a long fast, you just do the best you can. When detoxification increases as it does during fasting, the liver, kidneys, lungs and immune system work extra hard to handle the load. If these systems were already compromised before the fast, one must proceed carefully. You go as long as you can tolerate it, whether physiologically or emotionally, and then come back to eating again. Once you have some energy and are a few steps further toward health, you can consider doing another fast. Several short fasts can definitely do wonders if one long fast cannot be undertaken. Long fasts are preferable to short ones because once the body is in the fasting state it cleanses systematically into the harder to get at body tissues. For this reason, most of the recoveries from illness have taken place in the latter parts of long juice or water fasts. Long fasts give the body the uninterrupted time to do the work of healing. The first few days of fasting gets rid of the gross waste products of digestion, but only after this can the body pull out its tools to get to work on healing.

Frequency of Fasting
Of course, the best is that people stay on a good daily health regime and then when the need comes to fast to go ahead and do it for a week to 10 days or longer if indicated. At least long enough to move completely into the fasting physiology and accelerated detoxification. Ideally people should fast once or twice a year just as a tune-up to deal with the environmental toxins and junk in our foods as well as the emotional build up. Traditionally people have fasted in the spring and fall, when the weather is mild.

Activity Level
It is good to at least have mild exercise and movements with short walks to keep the lymphatic fluid moving and to the keep the vascular system working. The amount of exercise you can do is very much dependent on your existing condition and how you are feeling that day and what kind of fast you are doing. Basically one needs to be alert and listen to one’s body and not to overdo. Fasting is resting, not a marathon! You may feel weak during a water fast and may need to rest more often. While juice fasting, you may experience an abundance of energy that makes exercise easy. If you experience energy loss, limit yourself to stretching exercises, light walking or deep breathing.

Proteins & Fasting
It was theorized that protein loss during fasting was harmful and that a fast should be supplemented with protein. Fasting with protein became known as the Opti-fast. Fasters took nothing but water and a protein drink. Sadly, several people died. Protein digestion during the fasting state created an overload of urea and the blood become acidic. In this condition, the organs become more damaged instead of healing. To the body, fasting is a natural process. During water or juice fasting, the protein levels of the blood remain constant. Although protein is being utilized, a person fasting 40 days on water will not suffer a deficiency of either protein, vitamins, minerals or fatty acids. In the breakdown of dying and diseased cells, all essential substances are available while fasting for reuse within the body. These dead cells are utilized in a systematic manner.

Protein deficiency is non existent in North America. You never hear of anyone being diagnosed with protein deficiency. Fruit and vegetable juices have water-soluble highly absorbable proteins. The body has a store of protein, and it uses it selectively. Dying cells are the first to be used and healthy and vital tissues are the very last and will only be used as a last resort. Only during starvation is protein being stripped from healthy tissue to be used to survive. This may take 30 to 80 days of fasting on water to reach this point.

The systematic searching of cells to be metabolized is crucial in the healing of cancer. A cancer cell represents protein and calories. Some cancers are so persistent that you have to force the body to choose between healthy cells and cancer cells. This requires a long fast on small portions of juice combined with days of water fasting.

Aiding Elimination of Toxins
Enemas: If you are not having natural bowel movements then an enema is advised to move out the toxic material that is being scoured by your body. You will feel much better after taking an enema. An enema can be taken daily in the beginning days of a fast, then bi-daily for the remainder using just plain water.

Mucus: . It is common, during fasting, for the nose and throat to pass sticky mucus, clogging the sinuses. White strands of mucus may be found in the stool. You may find that you are more comfortable if you use a Neti Pot to clear the sinus cavities, to prevent getting a cold with the clogged sinuses. You can also drink lemon juice with water to help clear the mucus.

Showers/Bathing: Plan to shower or bath daily to aid in cleaning the pores and assist the removal of toxins. The skin is a large organ and many toxins are removed through the pores causing a gummy deposit on the surface of the skin. It may help to brush the skin removing the sludge that is deposited there.

Fasting Science - Part III

Reactions from Fasting
The 'healing' reactions you get from fasting are dependent on your existing health and the toxic load present in your body when you start. The first three days can be the most difficult until one's appetite for food goes away, which it normally does after the third day. Many people experience headaches, joint pain and other discomforts in the first few days. Your tongue will become coated and your breath foul, and you may notice increased body odor. These are all normal detox reactions as the toxins move out of your body. With extended fasting you will notice some days are symptom free, then as you move into deeper layers of detoxification you will experience episodes of symptoms as your body cleanses these other systems. In the later stages you remove the mucous from your system and this can increase your likelihood to catch a flu or a cold. At times you may feel weak or tired, so you should listen to your body and rest. Periods of high-energy and mental clarity will be experienced and can be variable, alternating between periods of healing reactions and symptom free days. With extended fasts it is normal to also have strong emotional reactions that have been suppressed, as the body brings these to the surface also for healing... This can be a difficult period, but can be dealt with more easily with meditation or Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). The cleansing response that happens is dependent on experience with fasting, current health and level of toxins and sickness in your body. If you have an existing health condition, it is possible that you get a strong healing reaction or healing crisis. A link to a page describing this reaction in detail is given below.

If cleansing responses arise (headache, stomach upset, mental fog, lethargy,.etc) exercise great patience and take rest until symptoms pass. It's all part of the process. Always go to your capacity but never over-do. If unreasonably strong physical or emotional symptoms occur, it may be wise to discontinue. The following are common reactions and what can be done to ease the symptom while you are fasting.

Spiritual
As the system detoxifies, many of these spiritual aspects of ourselves that have been waiting to come through for a long time are finally able to, and that person, hopefully fasting in an environment that is calm and serene and peaceful and loving, will be able to express and deal with these spiritual phenomena such that it can have a very beneficial and positive effect. Meditation, EFT and other tools can be used to help relate to spiritual and emotional phenomena.

Weight Loss
Weight loss can initially be as high as three to four pounds per day, but as the fast continues, the average loss will be one pound per day. If you are juice fasting and not losing weight, the juice is supplying all the calories you need. You may have to cut down on the juices or alternate between water fasting and juice fasting if losing weight is part of your goal. The slower your metabolism the slower the weight loss. If you are thin or average weight and you fast for 30 days on juice or 10 days on water, you will become thin. Ribs will show, the face will become gaunt, and friends and family will display concern. But the body will quickly normalize its weight in 5 to 10 days after the fast. If you are thin to start with, fasting may allow you to gain additional weight after the fast. Metabolism is normalized due to the cleansing process. It is very important not to try to gain weight too quickly. The body can rebuild only at a set rate. Overeating will burden the body and undermine the rebuilding process.

Dizziness
You may experience dizziness, if you do get down on one knee and the dizziness will stop immediately.

Backache
Back pain may increase due to toxins in the lower intestine. The blood vessels that draw nutrients from the colon are very close to the nerves of the spine. Back pain often decreases after elimination of the toxins. Back exercises also can relieve some pain. A cold pack also will help. An enema may be in order...

Bad Breath
Waste passes through the lungs which are an eliminative organ. Brushing the tongue with a tooth brush, using dental floss and rinsing with mouthwash will reduce bad breath.

Canker Sores
These may develop from a toxic buildup in the mouth. Unhealthy bacteria increases between the teeth. The tongue becomes coated with waste. To stop cankers, gargle with sea salt mixed with water several times daily. Dabbing the sore with tea tree oil or vitamin E quickens the healing process.

Cold Virus
Mucoid is the perfect food for viruses. Toxins weaken the immune system. When large quantities of toxins and mucus are in the blood due to a fast, they can cause a susceptibility to colds. To fight a cold, continue fasting to eliminate the mucus. Reduce the liquid intake and drink lemon juice.

Blackouts
During fasting the body conserves energy. The heart pumps slower and blood pressure lowers. Standing or moving quickly from a resting position will cause the blood to flow to the legs. For a few seconds, the brain may not get enough oxygen, causing blackouts and dizziness. To stop a blackout get down on one knee or sit. Lowering your center of gravity will instantly stop a blackout. Blackouts are more frequent during water fasting.

Diarrhea
Fruit juices have a laxative effect that is more pronounced after water fasting. It can be stopped by using the enema. Using psyllium husk during diarrhea will help regulate the system.

Headaches
Toxins can cause muscle tightness in the neck and shoulders. This can result in tension headaches. Massaging the neck and shoulders will help relieve the tension. The herb Fever Few, which is available in health food stores, is well worth trying.

Mucus
Drink lemon juice with water, combine with Neti Pot.

Muscle Tightness
The muscles may become tight and sore due to toxin irritation. The legs can be the worst affected as toxins accumulate in the legs. A self massage, hot baths, stretching and exercising will help to release the toxins.

Nausea
When waste is released too quickly by the lymph glands, some of the toxic overload is taken by the liver and secreted with bile into the stomach. This causes nausea. Drinking water or carrot juice will dilute the bile and toxin mixture helping to flush it from the system.

Nervousness
The elimination of toxins can irritate damaged nerves. Exercise will relieve tension. Use quarter slices of avocado to slow the fast or drink fruit juice if on a water fast. However, you should note that any food intake may cause one's hunger to return and make it more difficult to stay on the fast, just do the best that you can.

Skin disturbances
The skin may become oily as rancid oils are purged from the body. People with problem free skin may have a few days of pimples or boils. A pallid complexion is also a sign of waste in the blood. When cleansed of mucus and toxins, the skin will be healthy, soft and unblemished.

Tiredness
Tiredness is normal during water or restricted juice fasting. If the tiredness is too much, increase the quantity of sweet juices like melon and carrot juice.

Pre-existing Conditions

Heart Disease
Include bananas and avocados when juice fasting to balance the blood sugar level. Toxins in the blood and reduced blood sugar levels may cause a weak heart to labor. Like any other organ, the heart needs nutrients, a toxin free environment, and time to heal. Also if one has the disorder of POTS it is advisable to take salt so that the blood pressure does not get too low.

Hypoglycemia
Do not juice fast unless you use bananas and avocados to balance the blood sugar level.

Kidney problems
Fasting can irritate damaged kidneys due to the amount of toxins they filter. Try short juice fasts of 3 to 5 days before progressing to longer fasts.

Liver Disease
The liver can become toxic due to abuse. If the liver is badly degenerated, cleansing must be done in stages. Start with short juice fasts and lead to fasts over five days. Avoid heavy proteins, refined flours and fatty foods. Eat meals of fruits or vegetables between the fasts.

Age
Nobody is too old to fast - it is exactly what the body needs to feel young again. Shorter fasts are recommended to start. Assess your physical state as you proceed. If juice fasting becomes too intense, bananas and avocados will lessen the intensity by slowing the cleansing.

Ulcers
Fasting will help significantly. Choose the juices that do not irritate the condition.

Healing Crisis
(The cleansing reaction, the detox reaction, or the Herxheimer reaction.)

During your fast you may enter into a healing crisis, which indicates that a deeply seated sickness is being healed, but also this means that you are going in reverse through the reactions that you went through as your sickness progressed. This is normally a good thing, because it shows that there is a major healing happening, but the downside is that it is not easy to go through because of the uncomfortable reactions that cause pain, etc. If you are feeling quite ill then you should read through the healing reaction article to try to determine if this is what is going on with you or not. It may be advisable to check with your medical professional at this point, to try to determine if you want to continue the fast or not. For more information read the following article: Healing Reaction

Going Off Your Fast
"It’s a fact that eating causes a cycle of hunger. It’s only when we stop eating that we lose hunger! Think about it. All fasting experts agree that hunger sensations are usually lost on or shortly after the third day of fasting, and sometimes don’t return for weeks, but when they do return, usually very strongly, it’s the time to break the fast."

But all fasting experts point out that it is important to resume eating very lightly, and very gradually, in exact relationship to the duration of the fast। Therefore, if breaking a 40-day fast, you may want to start with only small quantities of fruit juice for several days up to a week, before actually resuming with solid food like regular fruit.

Important:
Keep the first solid meal light and simple even though the mental temptation to dive into heavier favorites will probably be high. Be gentle with your digestive system and your digestive system will not only thank you but the overall benefits of the cleanse will last much longer. If you were on a water fast, then your first day can be juices, if your were on a juice fast, then your first day should be raw vegetables or fruits. The next meal may include heavier items such as potato, avocado or corn, but in any case you will notice that your body is very sensitive to what you eat and you should use this period of transition to learn more about what your body likes and doesn't like you to put into it.

When waking up a slumbering digestive system, the desire to eat will be intense. The flavors and textures of food will be enhanced by super clean nasal passages. Eating will be a brand new experience. This is the time to flex your new-found muscles of discipline and self-control. As the body screams, I want more, wisdom whispers, you have had enough.

Eating small amounts of raw fruits and vegetables for the first five or six days will allow the body to gently wake up the digestive system. The body will continue to detoxify and cleanse during this period. Any toxins that have accumulated will begin to move due to the sweeping action of the soft fibers of fruits and vegetables.

For six days gradually increase the amount of raw fruits and vegetables in your diet. To break a fast and gorge on meat, bread or junk food will be disaster. Jarring the system this intensely when the digestive system is in a sensitive state can cause stomach cramps, nausea and weakness, negating much of the benefits of the fast.

Eat slowly and chew your food well. Saliva has enzymes that assist in digestion. Up to 80 percent of the starch, 30 percent of the protein and 10 percent of the fat can be digested by the enzymes in saliva.

Do not overeat! Discover the amount of food that your body needs to live a vibrant, healthy life. Discern the difference between cravings and hunger. Never feed your emotions.

When breaking a fast over ten days, the break-in period should be extended one day for every 4 days of fasting.

Greater Sensitivity - Restored Senses
An interesting phenomenon occurs after a fast. The years of conditioning your body to tolerate unhealthy foods is reversed. The body is as clean as a newborn baby. Try feeding a newborn baby Grandma's apple pie.

When the body is full of toxins, its defense systems are not able to operate effectively. After a fast the natural defenses are restored and sensitivity to unhealthy food is increased. You will feel satisfied with smaller amounts of food and sluggish and tired when overeating. Rich foods, full of fat, salt, and processed sugars will cause nausea, headaches and weakness. A handful of fruit will be thoroughly satisfying. Because the digestive system has to work less, there will be boundless energy to spare.

Why? After a fast your body is clean, and has far less tolerance to the poisonous foods that you were used to eating previous to the fast. Understand, feeling sick when eating poison is a sign that your body is functioning normally. Fasting restores the body's ability to violently react to harmful, health damaging, food. If you really desire, you can desensitize your body by slowly introducing harmful foods back into your diet, but why you should? You better select your food carefully, even though it is not possible to avoid toxins as these are every where. So fasting as a regular cleaning is important and will keep you healthy.

Rati Priya Sadhana - Regain Lost Youth

Everyone nurtures a desire to look every young and appealing. One tries one's best to keep looking youthful and juvenile but after savouring the pleasures of childhood and undergoing the enchantments of youth, one breaks up a little on reaching the wrong side of forty.

Old age is bitter side of life and every person is bound to undergo this phase regardless of his whims and fancies. Gradual decline in vital power weariness are the first signs which announce its arrival.

As the years go by the vital power is diminished and the body starts progressing towards old age. However it is some-times noticed that such a situation presents itself in the youths and they start looking much older than their actual age. They get depressed and bury themselves in their own thoughts; away from social gatherings.

People adopt a lot of techniques to control ageing. They attend yoga classes, perform rigorous exercises and run after various cosmetics publicised through magazines and the "idiot box". Instead of getting any relief they acquire new problems (marks on the face etc.); and in the end sit back fatigued clasped in the tight grasp of age.

First it is very necessary to understand the meaning of 'Youth'. It is the period when a bud bursts into a full-blossomed flower. The ability to enchant everyone through one's charisma and grace; and the vigour to spread one's refreshing fragrance amongst all is the real meaning of 'Youth'. It does not singularly allude to one's age; on the contrary it is an inner feeling of strength, joy and vigour.

According to Tantra Scriptures, Upanishads and Purana's, the female form is considered as the power of 'Rati' whereas the male form is looked upon as the power of 'Kaamdev'. It is but natural, that every man and women does not posses magnetism and attractiveness from birth. But the question is, can one become as alluring as Kaamdev and Rati (the god and goddess of love) by performing the 'Kaamdev-Rati Sadhana? The answer is affirmative because Sadhana is nothing but a process of achieving the impossible through one's determination and divine help.

This Sadhana can be performed when you feel unhappy, weak or ill when you look more than your actual age; when you feel unable to attract people; when life seems charmless and dull; when tranquillity and happiness of your life seem fading away.

The Sadhak must take a bath around Nine pm on any Friday; wear desired clothes, and make the atmosphere pleasent by lighting incense. Then one must make the sign of swastika on a wooden plank with rose petals and place a Mantra-energised Rati Priya Yantra on it. One must rub some Itra(natural perfume) one one's hand, and pick up the Rati Priya Mala and place it so that it encircles the Yantra. The Sadhak must pray to Kaamdev and Rati with folded hands and speak out his or her wish. Then one must chant 21 rounds of this Mantra and repeat this routine for seven consecutive days. The Sadhak must take care to change the rose petals daily. After accomplishment of this Sadhana, the Sadhak shall be astonished to see the gradual changes in his or her body and personality.

Om Ayeim Hreem Rati Priyaayei Purnaa Soundaryam Dehi Dehi Phat
॥ ॐ ऐं ह्रीं रति प्रियायै पूर्ण सौन्दर्य देहि देहि फट ॥

After the Sadhana the Sadhak must throw the Yantra and Mala (rosary) in a river or pond, or offer them in a temple. If done properly with devotion this a sure way to acquire a magnetic personality and unparalleled beauty.

STORY - Bhagwatpad Shankaracharya - Part I

In this discourse revered Sadgurudev Dr. Naryan Dutt Shrimaliji has discussed in detail the relation between a disciple and a Guru through the example of Guru Govindapaadaacharya and his disciple Shankaracharya. He has explained how a disciple can rise spirituality in life. What the life of a true disciple is like can be known by reading these divine words which touch the heart and encourage one to move on the path of spiritual realisation.

Shankaracharya's Guru Govindpadacharya, clearly told him that on the spiritual path one has no father, mother, caste, relatives or social links. The person is alone and he himself tries to instill totality in his life. The Guru then asked Shankar to respectfully disperse the ashes of his mother's body in the river saying that there was no more pure and sacred place for her remains to rest.

And according to the directions of his Guru, Shankar dispersed the ashes in the holy river Narmada. And thus he served the final tie that he had with the society and with family life. Having done this he decided and pledged to discover and unravel the basic truth of life that forms the very essence of human life.

One day Shankar put his wish before master. The Guru said - You wish to get the Brahm Diksha, so that you could understand the play of nature. But for that you shall have to strive hard. You shall have to accomplish tough Sadhanas. You shall have to serve the Guru devotedly and you shall have to obey him every moment. For getting the Diksha it is very important to first have performed control over one's body and mind.

Shankar listened carefully to the words of his Guru and decided that he would go through the toughest tests if necessary and accomplish the most tough Sadhanas so that he could become eligible for the Diksha. Then he chose a natural cave which was on the bank of river Narmada at a place where river flows Northwards and in it he sat down to accomplish Sadhanas. The cave is not man made rather it is natural and it is still there. It is sacred Sadhana seat that overflows with divinity. Just being in it fills one with purity. Entering it one is filled with pure, spiritual thoughts. Once there one starts to enter into deep meditation on one's own. Just being there makes one feel that that the outer world is useless, that all relations with the society are false and that father, mother, brother, sister are all physical relations. One realises that true essence of life lies in viewing this world through eyes of the soul.

When even an ordinary human starts to get such thoughts on entering this cave even today then one can very well imagine how divine and spiritual this place is. It is the same place where young Shankar accomplished amazing Sadhanas and tried to attain to totality in his life.

Shankar's Guru made him realise the Adwait form of the Supreme instead of the Dwait form. According to this thought Brahm (Supreme) and Maya (worldly delusion) are but one. Brahm is the basis of all life and the entire universe. All that exists in the universe shall one day merge in the Brahm or the Supreme. It was due to this teaching of Adwait and its total realisation that Shankar was finally able to declare with cofidence - Aham Brahmaasmi!

i.e. I am the Brahm! It is from Brahm that Maya or the entire universe has originated. And finally everything shall merge into it. It is with this view that the essence of all ancient texts can be grasped and assimilated.

Guru Govindapadacharya subjected Shankar to severe tests. Shankar used to rise in the morning before the Guru rose and serve him with full devotion. He always tried to spend the maximum time in his company and assimilate the essence of the divine words of thee Guru. It was from this very point in his life that he began to realise that Brahm or the Supreme is the Truth. This is the very fact that has been elucidated time and again by the ancient scriptures.

For the whole year the Guru subjected him to the severest of tests and when he finally realised that Shankar has cleared all his tests without failure he granted the Tripur Sundari and Shree Chakra Sadhana to him. Lord Saamb Sadashiv was the family diety of Shankaracharya. That is why he obtained the knowledge of the formless Supreme Element from his Guru and successfully accomplished the Shree Chakra Sadhana.

In the text Soundarya Lahiri, Shankaracharya has cleared stated -

Bhavatah Trayi Varnaa Yaa, Yati Karit Leelaanjan Tayaa,
Vibhaati Tvan Netra, Trityamid Mishaan Dayite,
Punaah Pashatm Devaam, Dwahinn Hari Roodram Paratam,
Raj Satvam Viddhah, Tam Yati Gunnaanaam Trayameevah.

Not just this, while explaining Shree Chakra he has said -

Gate Karnnaabhya Harannam, Guruteiv Pakshamaan Dadhaati
Paraambe Tash Chittah, Prasmad Sa Vitra Vann Phale
Ime Netre Goutraa, Dharapati Kulottam Sakali Te
Tavaa Karannaa Kashtah, Smar Sar Vilaasaa Kalyatah

Through these verses he has eluciadated about the divine form of the Goddes Lalita Tripur Sundari and he has explained how through Mantra chanting one can form a permanent link with the concerned deity. He has clearly revelaed the Mantra of Goddess Lalita Tripuraamba and the he has explained that it is only through Shree Chakra Sadhana that one can imbibe the essence of Vedic Mantras and the Tantra based Mantras which can bestow divine powers.

STORY - Bhagwatpad Shankaracharya - Part II

On reading Soundarya Lahiri one feels that Shankaracharya has merely described beauty of Mother Goddess Parvati. But this is a mistake which many scholars have made. Soundarya Lahiri is not merely the description of the divine beauty of the Goddess, rather it hides in its words the essence of the world of Tantra. Shankaracharya has said that without Tantra life cannot be fully understood and neither can one understand the Shree Yantra and the Shree Chakra Sadhana. One can comprehend the Sadhanas of the world of Yog only by first knowing about various channels of divine energy in the human body namely Ida, Pingala and Sushumna and the six divine centers of energy. When all knowledge related to the human body is gained the body itself becomes a Shree Yantra and then with the help of Mantras one can make the Kundalini Power rise to the Brahm Randhra or Sahastrar. All divine energies are present in the human body in a recurrent form. All one needs is the activation of the Same so that one could become god like.

To understand the gods and the divine powers one need not explore outside. Those who seek only outside are not able to realise the Shree Chakra that is the part of human body. An atom and the universe are basically the same. If one follows the path of Yog one can activate the Kundalini, the mind, the soul, divine resonance within and thus one could gain the knowledge that one can understand this world and gain divine powers. Then one can accomplish even the most impossible looking tasks and lead an extraordinary and unique life.

If one carefully observed one would find that the Kundalini situated in the Mooladhar is the basic energy and it is the Mahamaya which leads one into the world. And when this very energy is purified it helps one gain amazing powers. It is the basic energy through which one could comprehend all Mantras and gain wonderful powers.

Shankaracharya explained that the basis of Yog and Sadhanas is the human body. He also explained that it through the medium of the human body that one can attain to great success in the field of Mantra Sadhanas. Yog and one could gain wonderful powers like Parkaya Pravesh (leaving one's body and entering some other body), Vayugaman (flying in the air), reducing the size of one's body and gaining entrance into Siddhashram. The different Mantras only tend to activate the various centres of the human body by activating the Kundalini that rests in the Mooladhar.

He revealed all this in two verses of the Soundarya Lahiri which are as follows-

Vishaal Kalyaanni Sfutruchirayoddhayaa Kuvalaye
Kripaa Dhaaraa Dhaaraa Kimapi Madhuraa Bhog Vatika
Avanti Drishtite Bahunagar Vistaar Vijaya,
Druvam Tat Tan Naamah Vyavharann Yogyaa Vijayate

And further he explained how one can master different powers like Uchchatan (making one feel indifferent towards someone or something), Aakarshan (captivating someone), Dravikaran (making one feel kind towards someone), Sammohan (hypnotising someone), Vashikarann (controlling others), Tarann and Vidraavann.

Kavin Naam Sandharvhah Satvakamarah Kandeih Karishkam,< Kataakshah Vyaakshepah Bhramarkal Bhoukarnaa Yugalam
Amuchanto Drashtvaa Drashtavaa Tav Navar Saa Swaad Yugalam,
Vashudhaa Sansargaa Dalikanayan Kim Chidurannam

These two verses also explain that the human body is in itself divine and it is real the Shree Chakra. It is by gaining perfect control over this body, by concentrating on the Shree Chakra within, by fusing oneself completely in the form of the Goddess Tripur Sundari that all knowledge, all divinity and all powers of the world can be gained.

But in order to do so one needs the grace and blessings of the Guru. Lord Krishnna had elucidated this very fact in Gita thousand years ago.

Tad Vidhei Praanniyaten Pariprashne Na Sevaya
Upadesh Shanti Deya Gyaanaam Gyaaninnah Tatra Darshinah

i.e Without a Guru one cannot understand life. And till one does not understand life one cannot understand Shree Chakra and Lalitamba Sadhanas. And till one does not understand these two Sadhanas one cannot gain powers like projection of the soul, activation of the Kundalini and reducing one's physicial form to a size smaller than the thumb.

The description of the energy centres or Chakras and the Kundalini that has been given by Bhagwatpad Shankaracharya in the text Soundarya Lahiri is simply unique. This text is not meant to be just read or recited. It is in fact a text based on Tantra and each of its verses tells in detail about the science of Tantra. By diving deep into this text one can make quick progress in the field of Yog, Sadhanas and Tantra.

In this text Shankaracharya says that god is none else than Lord Shiva. The Guru is also Lord Shiva. He says that through the medium if the Guru one can attain to totality in life. At young age of 32, in 820AD, Shankaracharya, having completed this wonderful text left his mortal frame. But he left behind this most revered text that will be remembered for ages to come. To this day the text Soundarya Lahiri is considered a unique work of Tantra by all Yogis and scholars.

When one reads the text for the first time one feels that someone has just made a vivid description of gross beauty. But if one looks deeper one finds in its verses amazing facts related to Tantra. Many great scholars have gleaned from its verses invaluable facts related to Tantra. From it other scholars have realised the principle of Adwait i.e. Brahm and Maya are but one. In the human body there is the Supreme Element as well as Maya or wordly delusion. These two cannot be distinguished.

Some scholars believe its each verse to be imbibed with the power of Tantra. According to them the knowledge contained in these verses is the very essence of Tantra. The most wonderful fact revealed in this text is that the human body itself is a Yantra and by meditating upon it one can attain totality and success in life.

Some other scholars have even found invaluable facts related to Yog in this text. Some even state that verses of text contain facts related to Yantras. If Yantras are prepared as stated in the verses and one worships such Yantras according to the proper procedure then by activation of the Kundalini one could attain oneness with the whole universe and attain to true joy in life. This is the way to the divine land of Siddhashram. These views presented by the scholars are also very authentic.

STORY - Bhagwatpad Shankaracharya - Part III

The basic aim of life is to free oneself of the clutches of Maya or wordly delusion which makes one a prey to passions. A person should realise that there is no mother, father, brother, friend in this life. One is all alone. One is born alone and shall merge in the Supreme alone.

Of course one might be born to some mother. One might even be born as a spirit, ghost, Gandharva, Raakshas or Pishaach. But invariably the same thoughts rise in the mind of individual - will I be able to maintain a separate identity in this universe, will I ever be able to make way into the divine land of Siddhashram?

The scholars do try to find answers to these queries. They don try to explain what life is. But they are not able to explain to the full.

Hidden in the words of Soundarya Lahiri is a very high knowledge and a whole text can be written on each verse of the text. And even after having written so many commentaries on this text the scholars are not able to explain all facts of life totally.

There is very deep knowledge in these verses and the scholars find themselves incapable of fully describing it. They cannot find words to express the essence of this knowledge.

By writing this text Bhagwatpad Shankaracharya did not create just a few verses rather he explained that there is no phenomenon like Dwait or dualism in this world. He said that Brahm and Maya are the same. One cannot contemplate of Brahm as being different from Maya.

Brahm is cloaked in the veil of Maya and in order to remove this veil one needs to meditate by the process of Veikhari. The first step in this process is giving a permanent place to the holy image of the Goddess Mother Parvati in one's heart and soul. And through this process one can reach the final stage of enlightenment.

It is necessary to explain each verse of Soundarya Lahiri in detail for without it the common man cannot delve into it secrets, he cannot realise the great science of Tantra hidden in it, he cannot pierce the veil of Maya and have a glimpse of the Supreme. Even greatest of Ayurved experts cannot glean from these verses invaluable knowledge about various miraculous herbs. The best masters of Yog cannot find the complete explanation of the world of Yog that lies hidden in its verses through which one can make the Kundalini rise from the Mooladhar to the Sahastrar. Can the most distinguished scholars realise the significance of this world, the Supreme, the human body and Siddhashram by reading this text?

This is perhaps not possible! This is why I have tried to explain here the deep knowledge that lies hidden in the verses written by Bhagwatpad Shankaracharya. This explanation does not focus on just the gross meaning rather it goes deep and tries to find the subtle thoughts that Shankar wished to convey. It is when a human leaves the gross behind and delves into the subtle that he is not a mere mass of flesh and bones, he is not merely machine activated by the nerves rather within him is the Infinite - the same Infinite whose glimpse Arjun had in the divine form of Lord Krishnna.

This infinite is present in each human being. All one needs is a Guru who could make one realise it. An ordinary ordinary Guru would not do. He must be a Guru who has understood this science, who has mastered all Sadhanas and spiritual processes and who can not just understand each verse of this text rather who can make others understand the same too.

He must be a Guru who has mastered Yog, who has deep knowledge of Ayurved, who can explain what Brahm and Maya are and who can make one pierce the veil of Maya and merge with Brahm or the Supreme.

I know that it is very difficult to find such a Guru. To master all these sciences is not possible for an individual. I also know that each of these sciences and processes is like a huge ocean of knowledge and even if one devotes one's whole life one cannot master the subject fully. For a common man it is not possible to become perfect in Tantra or realise the Supreme in a single life time.

One has to take many births to master just one subject and it would be then that one would understand what Brahm and what is Maya, or what is the true value of this world and the human body or what is the state of consciousness. It is after several lives of study that one can understand how totality can be gained in Tantra or how perfect and powerful Yantras can be designed. One can then learn how one can gain entrance into Siddhashram, the highest seat of spiritual learning.

It is a fact that all these subjects cannot be mastered in one life time. But one time or another one has to struggle with these questions. However perfect answers are gained only when a great spiritual master, a divine being, the Supreme incarnates upon the earth in order to explain the true essence of the verses written by Bhagwatpad Shankaracharya.

STORY - Bhagwatpad Shankaracharya - Part IV

Many scholars have accepted that these verses are not merely an elucidation of the science of Tantra or Yantra, rather they also contain amazing facts related to the science of Ayurved. This is because Bhagwatpad Shankaracharya was not merely a master of Tantra, he had not just realised the Supreme rather he was also a great master of the Ayurved System of medicine.

From whichever place he passed plants, herbs and trees themselves would become eager to reveal to him their virtues and medicinal properties. The verses also explain how through the use of these herbs one could keep the human body healthy and fit forever so that it could become a permanent abode of the divine.

But most of the scholars have failed to realise that each word of each verse of the Soundarya Lahiri is as powerful, effective Mantra is obtained that is based on Tantra. Through this Mantra a person can free himself of the clutches of Maya and become completely fused in the Divine.

Nothing of course is impossible, although it might seem difficult. To climb the Gouri Shankar mountain is not impossible although it is sure a strenuous exercise. To fly in the sky or excavate the greatest depths of the earth is not impossible although it might well seem tough. To dive deep into the Manasarovar lake is not impossible although it might be a difficult task. And till a person does not realise the Guru he cannot understand the true worth of Himalayas or piousness of the lake Manasarovar. Without the Guru it is not possible to give a permanent place to the Divine in one's heart and soul or give rise to true knowledge from within. This is why it is said that the process of searching for a true Guru and finding the Guru is a very difficult task. But one who undertakes the mission and finds a real Guru is able to completely transform his life and become really unique and great in life.

The text Soundarya Lahiri has two parts - the first part is famous as Anand Lahiri and second is famous as Soundarya Lahiri. In the first part Bhagwatpad Shankaracharya has explained about Brahm and Maya and he has explained that Adwait is the basis of life. A human should consider his form as Maya and try to fuse it with Brahm or Supreme which is also within, in order to reach Siddhashram.

The final destination of every human is Siddhashram. But to reach it, live there and return to this world is not an easy task. It is like trying to measure the amount of water in the ocean or swim across all the oceans. But a few Yogis are able to do this. Due to the good Karmas of the past lives they are highly enlightened. They might look ordinary but in fact they are very divine and they sure can make quick progress on the spiritual path.

On the spiritual path there is no age bar. The concept of age is man made. The real age is one's spiritual age and not all an understand what spiritual age means the progress one has made in spiritualism in different lives.

Till one does not understand and realise what one's spiritual age is one cannot attain to totality in life, one cannot know what true beauty means. One who does not have this realisation in life leads an ordinary existence and dies an ordinary man without having achieved anything great.

The first part of the text, Anand Lahiri, has forty verses and in these verses Bhagwatpad Shankaracharya has described the great powers that lie hidden in a human being especially the Shree Chakra that is there within. He has also described the Shree Vidya through which all the six divine centres of the human body can be activated. It describes how through the Para, Pashyanti, Madhyama and Veikhari modes of Mantra chanting one can cause the Kundalini power to rise up and activate the Sahastrar.

Till the Kundalini power is not activated a human is forced to lead an ordinary life. Till the Kundalini is not fully activated one cannot understand the principle of Adwait explained by Bhagwatpad Shankaracharya. The principle of Adwait states that Brahm and a living organism are the same. Adwait is an attempt to understand Brahm and Maya. In these verses he tried to explain the creation, preservation and the progress of the universe. And through these very verses he explained how the human body could be made perfect and immortal.

It just seem that the Supreme Consciousness is just running a grossly material world. Even man seems to be making a lot of progress. But in life he has to face lots of struggles, opposition, pain discomforts, joys and sorrows. A person who is himself entangled in the mesh of this world cannot help others get free of it. After death the person is again born in the same state and he makes no progress in life or from one life to another. Thus he has to take birth again and again.

This is what Bhawatpad Shankaracharya tried to explain that without a Guru there can be no progress in life. He also explained how one can recognise a true Guru. He said that an ordinary human cannot be a Guru. It is the knowledge within a human, the consciousness within, the power of Shree Chakra and Shree Vidya within that is the Guru. Only a person who has his Kundalini fully activated and who knows how to activate the Kundalini of others can be called a Guru and only he is imbibed with the power of the Guru element.

In the future we might come across many scholars, one might find great erudites who can write powerful commentaries but one cannot easily find a Guru who has assimilated all the knowledge of the world within. It is next to impossible to find such a Guru who understands fully the science of Kayakalp through which one can make the body healthy and fit and even immortal. It is difficult to find a Guru who can make the body smaller than a thumb and travel to the holy land of Siddhashram. It is very difficult to find a Guru who has been to Siddhashram which is the abode of thousands of years old Yogis, Rishis and Sanyasis. It is a divine land where Lord Krishnna and the highly revered Bhagwatpad Swami Sachidanand can be seen. Divine fragrance emanates from their forms. In this beautiful land is a divine lake called Siddhyoga. This place is free from the cycle of life and death. The sun never rises or sets here. Rather a divine radiance ever fills the atmosphere. The soil of this land is fragrant too. Various divine energies remain present in this land in invisible forms. And their presence can always be felt.

STORY - Bhagwatpad Shankaracharya - Part V

Only that person can enter into Siddhashram who has all the divine centres of his body activated. Outwardly the person might look like just another human being but he would be overflowing with divinity. Such a person has the capability of taking his disciples to this holy land and activating their energy centres when he so wishes.

Can one really find such a great Guru? Can one win the favour and grace of such an accomplished master? Can one rise high in life with the help of such an Divine Being? Can one fuse completely in the divine form of such a Guru? Can a disciple attain to divine powers through selfless service to such a master?

Shanker was never doubtful that one can surely do this. But for that it is necessary that the Guru must be a divine incarnate, who has appeared on this earth in order to lead people of this world to totality in life. Such a person appears to be an ordinary human to most, to the family man he appears to be a happy family man, to those in power he appears to wield a lot of power and to Yogis and Sanyasis he appears to be a great Yogi and Sadhak.

He shall live like an ordinary family fan. He shall have a wife, son, daughters, friends, wealth, fame respect and high position in life. Yet he shall not be affected by any of these. Just as a lotus flower rises from mud and remains completely untouched by the mud around similarly such a great Yogi lives in family but is not at all affected by the materialistic life. A lotus remains in water but not a drop wets it. Only such a pure flower is worthy enough to be offered to the deities.

The Guru appears to be very ordinary from outside. Can an ordinary human being pierce his outer form and realise his true divine form? Can an ordinary human be curious enough to delve into the ancient sciences which the Guru possesses and master them? Can an ordinary disciple free himself of passions and devote himself totally to the Guru in order to attain to success in Sadhanas? Can such a disciple fuse fully in the divine form of the Guru?

Even the gods, Gandharvas, Kinnars cannot be so devoted. This is why it is said that it is very difficult to offer selfless service to the Guru. The Guru is supremely divine and he is well above all gods and goddesses. It is not possible for an ordinary human being to fathom the depth of the knowledge of the Guru. But it is necessary that he know about the greatness of the Guru otherwise he will not be able to benefit from him.

If one fails to recognise a true Guru one shall lose a chance of getting rid of a life full of tensions, worries and problems. It is hence necessary to be unbiased and try to recognise a true master.

Of course for the Guru it does not matter whether he is recognised or not. He is a divine being who has incarnated upon the earth with a special purpose. Having accomplished the task for which he has appeared he would leave for some other place of existence.

And once he has gone then the ordinary human beings shall be left with no choice but to repent. Too late they would realise what they have missed and then they shall feel sorry and curse themselves for not availing the golden opportunity.

And then they shall have to wait for an other 2500 years before another such great Guru is born. Even then they might fail to recognise the new master and gain something worthwhile from him.

It is at this juncture that Bhagwatpad Shankaracharya feels very anxious when expressing his feelings in the verses. It is here that he seems to be perturbed at the thought that it would then be impossible for a disciple and a Guru to be one.

Still Shankaracharya expresses hope that some time or the other some true disciples shall appear on earth who shall be able to recognise a true Guru and gain precious knowledge from him. He hopes some Guru would surely be blessed with true disciples who would be able to completely fuse in the Guru element. And he says that when this happens his souls shall feel really joyous and satisfied wherever it might be.

It is with this very thought that Soundarya Lahiri was written that some day some person would be able to get to the real meaning of his words. Through the medium of these verses Bhagwatpad Shankaracharya has tried to explain about this world, about the Supreme element, Brahm, about Maya and about the divine land of Siddhashram.

Through the description of beauty of the Goddess Mother Parvati, Shankaracharya has gifted to mankind a unique and precious spiritual gem for which the entire humanity shall remain indebted to him for ages and ages to come and they shall always revere him and remember him as one of the greatest Gurus of all times!

I bless you all so that you could be true disciples like Shankaracharya and attain to totality in your lives.

Bless you from the heart!

- Revered Gurudev Dr. Narayan Dutt Shrimali.

Lord Hanuman's Grace On A Village

THE POWER OF HANUMAN TANTRA SADHANA

There was a small village in coastal Andhra (one of the state in India) where a strange thing happened few years back. Everything was fine and cool before the advent of the deadly epidemic. All means had failed to put a check on the strange epidemic which had sent almost half the village to the other world since it had struck some three months back. Children were the easiest prey but adults too succumbed just as easily once it had them in its destiny.

Strangely neighbouring villages seemed immune to the queer malady that had checkmated even the best medical succour. Much frustrated and angry the village folk had barred entry to all doctors, and it was surprising to see them welcome the young Sanyaasi so readily.

But on second thoughts it did not appear quite as odd, for an empyrean effulgence radiated from the spiritual saint's face. The hypnotic looks had them dumbstruck and when he politely asked for permission to stay there, the village headman lost no time in saying yes. "But" he added, "our village has been plagued by a deadly disease. So for your own good suggest that you make the Hanuman Temple on the outskirts your home."

A youth led the ascetic to the ancient shrine of Hanuman Temple. As soon as he was there the Sanyaasi lit a holy fire and was soon immersed in a ritual. The youth stood there motionless for about an hour listening to the Vedic incantations and then returned home with a new spark of hope ignited in his heart that there would be no further deaths in the village.

Yes he did not convey his hope to anybody. His own kid was in jaws of death and having tended to it he went to sleep. Cries of joy woke him up in the morning. It was his wife dancing with the child held high above the head. Rubbing the sleep out of his eyes he looked at his son whose pale face had gained a glow of health overnight. He simply could not believe his eyes. "Baba" cried the lad, "Hanumanji gave me Darshan. He said soon I would be well and playing again"

Tears of joy ran down the man's face and suddenly he recalled Sanyaasi who was staying at the temple. "It sure is his work," he said to himself as he rushed out of his home. Outside the whole village seemed to be on streets. Everybody's face was lit with joy and the news was the same everywhere he went. The ill were recuperating fast and the shadow of death which loomed over them till the very last day was receding.

As he related his son's divine experience and his opinion about the Sanyaasi, the air was rent with the chants of "Jai Hanuman". Soon a procession was on its way to the temple. There they found him deep in meditation. His dark long tresses hung loose over his shoulders as he sat calmly in the lotus position. A divine aura seemed to surround his entire form. Quietly the village folk sat down awaiting his return to the conscious state.

It was almost mid day when he finally opened his eyes, yet in his divine presence one felt as if only a few moments had passed. Even before anyone could begin the thanksgiving he spoke, "Your village is safe now. With Gurudev Paramhans Swami Nikhileshwarand's grace I was able to propitiate Lord Hanuman and he blessed to ever protect this place in the future."

The youth who had guided the Yogi to the temple was much influenced by the power of Sadhanas and he requested the Sadhu to reveal the ritual to him, which the kind Yogi readily did.

A simple yet quite as effective form that Powerful Tantra Sadhana is being revealed here. It must be started only on a Tuesday after 10 pm. Have a bath and get into red robes. Cover a wooden seat with cloth. On it sprinkle some vermilion. In the centre place Hanuman Yantra (हनुमान यंत्र). Sit on a red mat in Veerasan, i.e. as Muslims sit for prayers, facing South. Pray to the Guru for success. Light a ghee lamp. Bath the Yantra with water. Wipe it dry and put a mark of vermilion on it. Put a similar mark on your forehead. Offer a red flower and fruit on the Yantra. Next with a Red Coral rosary (लाल मूंगा माला) chant 21 rounds of this Mantra.

Om Namo Bhagawate Anjaneyaay Mahaabalaay Hanumate Namah
॥ ॐ नमो भगवते आंजनेयाय महाबलाय हनुमते नमः ॥

After Sadhana go to sleep at the very spot. Do this daily for 11 days. Eat the fruit offered yourself. This Sadhana wins the grace of the Lord for the Sadhak and his family members. Once concluded successfully the Lord protects one from all dangers, diseases and misfortune in the future. It is necessary to maintain celibacy during these 11 days.

The Importance of Fasting - Scientific view

The spiritual benefits of fasting and the calorie restriction diet arise because conductivity of nerve and energy goes up. Cell membrane fluidity increases because the cells are no longer coated with junk increasing the availability of receptors for hormones and neurotransmitters. The cells are better "informed" so metabolism improves and they can detoxify themselves properly so there are less stored poisons. This means that metabolism in general can occur at optimum efficiency thus increasing the conductivity of spiritual Presence.

That is the less calories one eats and the higher the nutrition then the easier it is for the body to run through all its cycles with full efficiency. If we start up the digestive process several times a day, every day of our lives, then the body doesn't have time for cleansing /repair/regeneration. So organs congest, plaques are laid, enzyme systems get exhausted and metabolism is generally interfered with. If we load our system with food day after day, then our body is so preoccupied with digestion that it doesn't have the energy, enzymes and immunity for higher functions such as building the "spiritual body," and for higher thinking, psychic and visionary capacities. Such unceasing digestion therefore reduces the amount of light/love flow through the tissues. We become largely a "digestive" animal, with little contact with our psychic, subtle and spiritual capacities.

In considering the need for maximum nutrition with minimal digestion, it becomes apparent that recreational eating is counter productive and will set us back spiritually and energetically. In the philosophy of the calorie restriction system, we need to refine our diet so that we are only eating the most vital, nutritious food, specific to the real needs of our body. This system is focused foremost on efficiency, and thereby getting the digestive process "out of the way" so that higher life processes and experiences can be explored.

This diet is not undertaken in a machine-like punitive fashion, but simply through a hypersensitivity to reality. Hypersensitivity to reality is nothing other than Love! The more perfect the flow of light/love through our tissues, the more spiritual-intuition and intelligence we embody, and the more awareness we can apply to "including and transcending" our digestive function. We use food for self-repression without even knowing it. When we stop doing this we quickly become reacquainted with all our repressed urges and unease: loneliness, horniness, sadness, confusion and other uncomfortable emotions. The calorie restriction diet should enable us to plum the depths of our incarnation in a geometrically accelerating fashion.

Fasting cleans all body tissues including synapses, liver and blood which allows greater conductivity of energy and nutrients. Then a energy source is taken which doesn't weigh the body down such as fresh squeezed vegetable juice or fruit juice...this provides the energy for popping in a fasted-clean body. The mild stress imposed by fasting fortifies the body to stave off degenerative diseases. The continual low-grade stress seems to make the cells stronger.

Hunger increases blood flow in the hypothalamus and other limbic areas. Mark Mattson of the National Institute on Aging says that he believes that the mild stress of fasting increases protein synthesis in the brain. And these additional proteins increase the growth of new nerve cells, as well as shielding the cells from oxidative damage. So fasting increases brain function, offers nerve protection. With a calorie restricted diet there is going to be less oxidation in the body in general. The calorie restriction diet does have spiritual effects in its highest aspect, but that is usually not why people go this route. We usually do calorie restriction for longevity first, then health benefits second. You won't get optimum health out of simply dropping calorie intake.

Yug Purush - Dr. Narayan Dutt Shrimali

The joy of being with Him!

Guru means love .... a waft of divine fragrance .......... a reflection of the Lord ............ someone to bow before ......... someone to be devoted to ........ the aim of human life .............. the real essence of life ...... the totality of life ...... One can see him with one's eye, one can touch him, one can feel pure and sacred in his company, one become lost in the self when with him, one can rise above material world and enter the spiritual one in his company. One might not have seen the Lord, but through the Guru one can even have the glimpse of the Supreme.

Does man know anything about Supreme Element whom he calls God, Brahm or Shiva? Can one realise the Supreme who Yogis say is formless and nameless? What is aim of human life? What is true joy? Can one know all this by any way?

Only Guru can make one realise and understand all this. Only he can bestow this knowledge. Only he can make one have a glimpse of the Supreme Element or Shiva. Guru is a link between man and the Divine. Only through the Guru can we fully realise the Brahm, the God or the Supreme. The real goal of human life, the essence of human life, the greatness of human life lies in realising the Supreme who has no form and no name. The Guru gives Him name and a form and helps one have a glimpse of the Supreme Soul. Only thus can one become one with the Supreme. But for this to happen one has to activate one's inner vision. This divine vision can be activated only by the Guru.

Today man seems to be surrounded by mental problems and tensions each and every moment. His life remains disturbed and uncertain. In order to get some peace he visits temples and Ashrams. He meets Sadhus and goes on pilgrimage. In the present age of gross materialism he keeps on trying to get some peace of joy though spiritualism.

Today every human being realises the emptiness and hollowness of materialism. But he is not able to find some way out of this mire. He does not know how to attain totality. He does not know the path that could take him to joy, fragrance, totality, divinity and satisfaction. He does not know of the light that could banish darkness of ignorance from his life, that could bring smile to his lips, that could make his eyes gleam with a joy. In such a situation man needs company of a Guru who could introduce him to this Divine and open up the source of joy for him.

In such situation one name, one divine personality comes to the mind - revered Gurudev Dr. Narayan Dutt Shrimali. He is a divine master in whose company one forgets all one's tensions and problems. Just looking at him one is filled with utter joy and peace. Just touching his holy feet makes the body overflow with divine energy and destroys all passions, weaknesses and ignorance of the person. It is said in the ancient text Yog Vashishth -

Darhshanaat Sparshnaat Shabdaat Kripayaa Shishya Dehate. Janyet Yah Samaavesham Shaambhavam Sa Hi Deshikah.

A Sadguru is one who activates Shiva element, Brahm element, in the person through his touch, words and presence.Revered Sadgurudev is such a very divine master. It is blessing from the Lord that revered Sadgurudev graced us with his company, instilled divine consciousness into us, activated our souls and led our wandering feet onto the golden path of human life. When we were being duped by pseudo-Gurus he appeared in our lives and led us onto the right path.

The Supreme is said to be formless and immortal. If a form were to be given to Him it would be that of revered Sadgurudev. But not everyone can realise this fact. Only one who has had the glimpse of the Supreme form can realise this fact. Only one who has remained for years in his company can realise his true form. Even if the most unfortunate person constantly seeks his company then a time comes when he has a glimpse of his divine form, when he has a taste of his divine love. When such a realisation dawns that is the golden moment of one's life.

To fully realise his divine form is just not possible. At least it sure is very difficult. He plays all the roles of life - father, friend, relative, brother, lover, husband - with equal ease. With each disciple he is linked by the soul. A common man can only see his physical form which looks ordinary. A common man has limited sense of perception and hence he cannot look beyond a point. He is not able to see or realise his true divine form which is infinite like the ocean.

Lord Ram and Krishna too had ordinary looking physical forms - the same two hands, two feet. They were not extraordinary physically. They did not have four hands to prove their divinity. But the people of their times failed to recognise the divine in them. They only abused these great souls and criticised them.

Only one who has some special capabilities is criticised. But criticism or abuses cannot rob them of their divinity. It is very unfortunate that people realised their greatness only after they have left this world. In the present times we have a divine person in our midst in the form of revered Sadgurudev. His divinity can only be realised from within, I have got a chance to sit in his holy feet and I have had the taste of divine joy that cannot be had anywhere else.

I wandered from place to place to find this joy. I wandered through the Himalayas and searched all caves and unfrequented places for a true master. I met many Sadhus and I visited many Ashrams and places of pilgrimage. But no where could I find peace. I could find no one who had total personality. Wherever I went I encountered deceit. This hurt me deeply.

And at last I found what I was searching for in the divine form of Sadgurudev Dr. Narayan Dutt Shrimali. I found true peace only in his holy feet. I listened to the sermons of several Sadhus but I found that their words are hollow and they had no idea of true knowledge. Real and true knowledge I found in the simple and easy words of revered Sadgurudev.

His aim in life is not to confuse or overwhelm the common man with complex explanation of the spiritual world. Rather through very easy words and in a very easy language he has linked the common man in the spiritual knowledge of our Rishis. He has made difficult spiritual subjects so easy for the common man to understand. The priests had made this knowledge inaccessible for the common man. But now he has just turned the tables on these so-called scholars.

Through his divine discourses revered Sadgurudev has expressed his views and thoughts. In these discourses he has touched upon all aspects of human life. In him can be seen the skill of presenting any tough subject in easy manner and in its totality. One is left amazed listening to his discourses on the Vedas, Upanishads and all ancient texts with equal ease and authenticity. It seems he has all knowledge and all divine verses are stored in his memory. No human being can possibly assimilate all this knowledge in one single life, a Yug Purush (man of this Age).

He has not merely recited verses from texts in his discourses, as most so called Gurus do, rather he has explained the meaning and their relevance in the present times in simple words. He has given a new form the ancient knowledge of our Rishis and instilled new life into it. More than this he has linked all sections of the society to this divine knowledge. Also he has made popular all aspects of this knowledge. Also he has made popular all aspects of this knowledge like astrology, worship procedures, Ayurved and Sadhanas.

He taught man what true love means. He gave a new and pure meaning to the word. He is an epitome of true and divine love and in his company one can know what actually love is.

He stressed on love and beauty of the soul! He presented complex and tough mysteries in very easy words to the common man. He said that love and beauty are the basis of life, Sadhanas, Siddhis and divinity. These are not mere words rather they signify the divine. Revered Sadgurudev is very kind and compassionate. He remains very eager to instill true knowledge into his disciples. For this very purpose he organises Sadhana camps at different places in the country so that he could bestow true knowledge through the medium of discourses, Sadhanas and Dikshas.

Such a great soul rarely incarnates upon the earth. It is after centuries that such a Yug Purush appears to make the people realise the divine, to make the society get rid of evil. Such a Yug Purush is bestowed with all divine virtues, his voice is magnetic, his personality is attractive and he can easily explain even complex subjects in simple words to his disciples. To be in company of such a great soul is greatest boon of human life.

By becoming his disciple and following the path shown by him a person is not just able to fulfil all material wishes and attain to success in the outer world rather he also becomes pure and sacred in his company. Under the cool and divine shade of his personality a person can become great, pure and divine himself. To be near him is the greatest fortune. Sitting in his holy feet is like in the cool shade of a huge shady tree. One finds true peace in his company that one might have been searching for years.

Being with him in the true goal of human life. It is such a Guru who is the Lord, who is Brahm, who is Shiva. It is through him that one can realise the Supreme. In his company one can realise the true goal of human life and also attain it. But for this to happen one needs true devotion, faith and dedication. Only then will he be able to work his magic on you!
