For the past three years I had been afflicted by a dangerous ailment. No medicine or other means seemed to work. My condition did not improve and it seemed to get worse.
People around me used to taunt me - She won't live long. If her Gurudev has the power let him save her. I used to feel really pained hearing all such words. So I would helplessly sit before a picture of Sadgurudev and cry my heart out. And whenever I did this a feeling would rise in my heart that Gurudev was going to save me.
Sometimes I would feel his subtle presence which would fill me with strength and hope. I would also hear a voice telling me to keep chanting the Guru Mantra.
Then I went to Bombay for treatment. There the doctors at Central Nayar Hospital refused to take up my case and a doctor said - Your case is hopeless and you cannot be saved.
But I had full faith in Gurudev and I requested the doctors to admit me to the hospital. After a few days the very same doctor had me admitted there and after medical checkups he said - You suffer from T.B. and your kidney too has failed. I don't know which to treat first.
Anyway the best doctors were called in and the treatment commenced. Steadily my condition started to improve.
Before this my husband had been to the Guru Poornnima Sadhana Camp at Allahabad and he had given my picture to Gurudev Kailash Chandra Shrimali and prayed for help. Gurudev had kept the picture and he had promised to save my life.
A few days later I had got a letter from Jodhpur which said - Your picture was received through your husband in Allahabad and you have been given Dhanvantri Diksha. So don't worry, for you shall soon be fine. Sadgurudev's blessings are with you.
I was much relieved on receiving this letter and I was filled with a new hope. Slowly I have been recovering and all have been left surprised by my quick recuperation, specially the people who used to taunt me. I know it is all due to the Diksha given to me by Gurudev. I feel really indebted to Him and I promise to serve Him. Please Gurudev keep showering your grace on us.

Japa Yoga
- In this Iron Age, Japa Yoga is an easy way for attaining God-realisation.
- Japa is the repetition of any Mantra or Name of the Lord with Bhava and feeling.
- Japa removes the impurities of the mind, destroys sins and brings the devotee face to face with the Lord.
- Every Name is filled with countless powers; just as fire has the natural property of burning things, so also the Name of God has the power of burning the sins and desires.
- Sweeter than all sweet things, more auspicious than all good things, purer than all pure things, is the Name of the Lord.
- Name of the Lord is a boat to cross this Samsara. It is a weapon to destroy the mind.
- The repetition of the Mantra again and again generates great spiritual force and momentum and intensifies the spiritual Samskaras or impressions.
- Mananaat Trayate iti Mantrah: By the Manana, constant thinking or recollection, one is released from the round of birth and death; so it is called Mantra.
- Repetition of Mantra raises vibrations. Vibrations give rise to definite forms. Repetition of Om Namah Sivaya gives rise to the form of Lord Siva in the mind; repetition of Om Namo Narayanaya gives rise to the form of Lord Hari.
- The glory of the Name of God cannot be established through reasoning and intellect. It can certainly be experienced or realised, only through devotion, faith and constant repetition.
- Japa is of three kinds, viz., Manasic Japa, Upamsu Japa or humming, and Vaikhari Japa, loud and audible Japa.
- Mental repetition of Japa, Manasic Japa, is more powerful than loud Japa.
- Get up at 4 a.m. and do the Japa for two hours. Brahmamuhurtha is most favourable for Japa and meditation.
- If you cannot take a bath, wash your hands, feet, face and body, and sit for Japa.
- Face north or east when sitting. This enhances the efficacy of the Japa.
- Sit on a Kusha-grass seat or deer-skin or rug. Spread a white cloth over it. This conserves body-electricity.
- Do some prayer before starting the Japa.
- Have a steady pose. Have Asana-Jaya or conquest over Asana. You must be able to sit in Padma, Siddha or Sukha Asana for three hours at a stretch.
- When you repeat the Mantra, have the feeling or mental attitude that the Lord is seated in your heart, that Sattva or purity is flowing from the Lord to your mind, that the Mantra purifies your heart, destroys desires and cravings and evil thoughts.
- Do not do the Japa in a hurried manner, just as a contractor tries to finish his work in a hurried way. Do it slowly with Bhava, one-pointedness of mind and single-minded devotion.
- Pronounce the Mantra distinctly and without mistakes. Do not repeat it too fast or too slow.
- Use not the index finger while rolling the beads. Use the thumb, the middle and the ring fingers. When counting of one Mala is over, revert it and come back again. Cross not the Meru. Cover your hand with a towel.
- Be vigilant. Keep an alert attention during Japa. Stand up and do the Japa when sleep tries to overpower you.
- Resolve to finish a certain minimum number of Malas before leaving the seat.
- Mala or rosary is a whip to goad the mind towards God.
- Sometimes do the Japa without a Mala. Go by the watch.
- Practise meditation also along with Japa. This is Japa-Sahita-Dhyana. Gradually Japa will drop and meditation alone will continue. This is Japa-Rahita-Dhyana.
- Have four sittings for Japa daily—early morning, noon, evening and night.
- A devotee of Lord Vishnu should repeat “Om Namo Narayanaya”; a devotee of Lord Siva, “Om Namah Sivaya”; a devotee of Lord Krishna, “Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya”; a devotee of Lord Rama, “Om Sri Ramaya Namah” or “Om Sri Ram Jaya Ram Jaya Jaya Ram”; a devotee of Devi, Gayatri Mantra or Durga Mantra.
- It is better to stick to one Mantra alone. See Lord Krishna in Rama, Siva, Durga, Gayatri.
- Regularity in Japa Sadhana is most essential. Sit in the same place and at the same time.
- Purascharana is repetition of the Mantra Akshara-Laksha, one lakh of times for each letter.
- Japa must become habitual. Even in dream you must be doing Japa.
- Japa Yoga is the easiest, quickest, safest, surest, and cheapest, way for attaining God-realisation. Glory to the Lord! Glory, glory to His Name!
- O man! Take refuge in the Name. Nama (Name) and Nami (Lord) are inseparable.

Paarad Laxmi
Importance of wealth is no less today rather it has become the most emphasized commodity what with the material desires becoming virtually unlimited. In ancient times prosperity might well have meant having to eat, a large house to live in and a good source of income, but in modern times the meaning of comfort and prosperity is much more diverse and it depends on how much one can spend. If you have enough then there is no end to what all luxuries you can buy.
Being rich is not a taboo but it does matter how you earn money. Illegal or immoral means, however discreet, may well fill your coffers but such stained money shall prey on your conscience, mental peace, social respect and standing. No doubt a human is easily lured towards such avenues for they seem to promise a lot without much efforts; however only a person who has such wealth can tell you what sort of hell he has to go through, for every moment there seems to be a fear of exposure lurking around.
So such means are out! Yet there are also hardworking, sincere and honest people who are never able to make it big in spite of there best of efforts. After years of labor in a job or perseverance in trade, financial success looks like a distant dream. The frustration and sense of hopelessness that then sets in tends to make one an easy prey to the lure of corruption.
If you find yourself in such a situation, if mounting debts are giving you sleepless nights, if your business is in doldrums, if money is the cause of your anxiety then this is the respite you have been waiting for. The following Paarad Laxmi Sadhana is the most explosive, quick acting ritual for windfall gains. A sage writes in an ancient text If an idol of Laxmi made of consecrated, solidified mercury alloyed with gold is established in the SE direction, i.e. facing N. west and worshipped daily wealth starts to make inroads into one’s life from various sources.
This form if the deity is called Paaradeshwari and she is the most benevolent among all 108 forms of the Goddess when it comes to showering wealth upon a Sadhak. In fact like Kalpavriksha (wish tree) she fulfils all the material wishes of a sadhak. Following boons sure accrue –
1. Financial crisis is overcome and sudden gains are made.
2. All problems in business or job are cleared. Promotion/pay raise in job and unexpected profits in trade can be expected.
3. New sources of earning spring up.
4. Power, respect and fame in life.
5. A happy married life with all comforts.
6. Spiritual success.
For the ritual get up in the morning on a Wednesday or Friday, take a bath and wear fresh clothes. Sit facing East on a white woolen mat. Light incense and a lamp. The idol of the Goddess (Paarad Laxmi) must be established as prescribed manner. Next pick up Sfatik Rosary and chant five rounds of the following mantra.
Om Ayeim Varad Paaradeshwari Mahaalakshmyei Namah
ॐ ऍ वरद पारदेश्वरी महालक्ष्म्यै नमः
Do this regularly for 11 days. The ritual is free of any complex steps, for the mantra and the deity are powerful enough to bring about the desired results. A text in fact states that just having a Paaradeshwari Laxmi and a Paarad Shivaling in one’s home means lifelong prosperity and affluence. If possible continue chanting the Mantra just five times daily. After Sadhana permanently establish idol in a sacred place or at your business center. Guru Diksha is necessary for doing this Sadhana.
